Futhrough Endovascular Needle System in Surgery
The Futhrough Endovascular Needle System is a specialised device designed for in-situ fenestration of stent grafts during thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR), particularly when branch vessel preservation is essential or the proximal anchoring zone is inadequate. This innovative system enables clinicians to create precise fenestrations in real time, helping to maintain perfusion to critical arteries such as the LSA or LCCA without compromising the structural integrity of the stent graft.
At the core of the Futhrough system is a pioneering positioning mechanism, where a fixation balloon securely stabilises the needle tip during the procedure, ensuring accurate puncture. The system offers three adjustable penetration depths, allowing tailored fenestration across stent grafts of varying diameters. With a 20G needle, the system facilitates smooth passage of a 0.018” guide wire, making it compatible with standard interventional tools and techniques. This approach offers a fast, safe, and controlled solution in complex aortic arch repairs where custom fenestration is critical.
